The OMPE is talking about it in Parliament !

In a recent interview for Le Courrier du Parlement (to be published soon), a magazine circulated among others in the Senate and the National Assembly, the OMPE was able to present its ambitions and expose its five flagship projects in favor of the preservation of the environment. Projects that we have been actively promoting since 2013. If citizens are sensitive to our approach and our actions, this does not seem to be the case for world governments. This interview was therefore an opportunity, once again, to highlight “the lack of support from the bodies solicited when the ecological emergency is real“.

COP24 : when will States finally be voluntary ?

Since 3 December 2018, the 24th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change or COP24 has been held. It is therefore in Poland that 196 countries are currently meeting to provide concrete and rapidly applicable solutions to respond to the climate emergency. Remember that the vast majority of countries, including France, still fail to reduce their CO2 emissions. Nevertheless, they must now find solutions to limit warming to + 2°C, as expected during the Paris agreement of 2015. A historic climate pact that Gilles Lazzarini, environmentalist and founder of OMPE, knew already impossible to hold : “How do you want to reduce the CO2 emissions of companies or countries that earn money by polluting ? It’s impossible !“, He denounces in The Courier of Parliament. The OMPE now has solutions that allow for smooth transition to a new system.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is also present at COP24 and is sounding the alarm: it is urgent that countries work together to hope for a chance to stop climate change. Gilles Lazzarini also reminds Mr. Antonio Guterres that he still wants to endorse the position of global climate leadership and quickly implement the Big World Environmental Trials (BWET).

OMPE brings concrete solutions to the climate emergency

We believe that the environmental cause should not only be borne by citizens, too often pointed out and accused by politicians. Since the creation of the OMPE in 2013, it is above all the stagnation of policies and institutions that we note and not that of the citizens who are more and more numerous to support us. In his interview for The Courier of Parliament, Gilles Lazzarini recalls that “From 100 visitors per month starting 5 years ago, we are more than 80,000 today. People call us to congratulate us, we receive messages of encouragement from around the world, from the United States, from China, etc… So many signals that attitudes are changing.” This is also the case at the time of writing this article following the publication of the interview : the messages are coming from everywhere to congratulate us!

If the Big World Environmental Trials (BWET) we want to put in place have been put forward in recent times, do not forget our other projects co same absorber of CO2 and greenhouse gases to global warming. It should also be remembered that the OMPE is one of the few totally independent environmental organizations : we receive no subsidies or assistance from any State. The implementation of our projects depends only on your support and your donations.
